
Erin Semit (nee Doyle) completed her degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney in 2007. For fifteen years, Erin has dedicated her time providing rehabilitation services for adults, initially in an inpatient rehabilitation setting (at the Royal Rehab Centre Sydney & Orange Base Hospital), and now for people living in the community. In 2015, Erin began working with NDIS participants in the Hunter region. Initially Erin worked in a specialist role supporting people with a spinal cord injury before starting erinOT in 2017. Erin has extensive experience working with people with spinal cord, spina bifida, amputations, neurological and degenerative conditions. Erin’s skill set includes skills training for activities of daily living; upper limb therapy; sensory retraining; therapy to aid memory & cognitive function; seating, complex equipment prescription and home modifications. Erin has extensive experience completing NDIS functional capacity assessments and support need assessments for SIL and SDA placements.
Erin motivates people to engage in meaningful activities and to be as independent as possible. Her services are person-centred and utilise the latest evidence, equipment and technologies available. Erin has specialist skills in neuro-rehabilitation, home modification and complex equipment prescription.
Outside of work, Erin enjoys being with her family, exercising and spending time outdoors in nature.
